About me

I am an academic and researcher who integrates more than 25 years of shop-floor experience in the design and manufacturing industry with the interdisciplinary research methodology of academia. By combining a quarter-century of industrial practice with my technical command of materials processing technologies, heat treatment processes, CNC machine tool technologies and CAD/CAM systems, I aim to build a strong bridge between theoretical knowledge and the realities of the field. In line with current industrial needs, I continue to deepen my work around the integration of artificial intelligence and smart technologies into manufacturing processes, automation systems, and sustainable business development models.

Within Pamukkale University I concurrently hold the administrative and academic posts of Deputy Director of Serinhisar Vocational School, Head of the Department of Materials and Materials Processing Technologies, and Deputy TEKNOFEST Coordinator for the university. In this capacity I actively lead the development of university–industry collaboration projects, the management of interdisciplinary student teams, and the delivery of high-quality R&D in line with the National Technology Initiative. In particular, I conduct applied research on reinterpreting traditional manufacturing methods — including deep-rooted crafts such as knife and hand-tool making — through modern engineering approaches, intelligent algorithms and metallurgical discipline.

I build my academic and personal stance on professional ethics, honesty, justice and empathy, adopting Rumi's understanding — "knowledge is to know knowledge, knowledge is to know thyself" — as my philosophical motto. Believing that knowledge and experience gain value as they are shared, I place the cultivation of a researcher's identity in young talent, and mentorship itself, at the centre of my academic mission. Together with my doctoral studies, I aim to turn this multifaceted foundation of practice, administration and research into high value-added scientific publications, patentable outputs, and a doctoral thesis capable of guiding the digital transformation of industry.
